Q: Where do you get your car inventory?
A: Our inventory is purchased mostly from factory sales (Ford, Chevrolet, Toyota, Lexus, etc.) throughout the southeastern United States. Most of our inventory are program and off-lease vehicles with many still having some of the factory warranty remaining.
Q: What kind of inspection process do the vehicles go through?
A: Our service department does a 78 point inspection on every vehicle purchased. All of our inventory is mechanically sound before it hits the lot.
Q: Is the retail price I see on your web site the price I must pay, or do you negotiate the final price?
A: While our retail price represents an excellent value for the quality vehicles we sell, the Internet affords us additional savings in marketing our cars. Call us for our special Internet pricing.
Q: Is there a warranty or guarantee given with a vehicle purchase?
A: All vehicles come with a limited 3 month/3000 mile warranty. Parts covered include many of the engine components, transmission parts, the drive assembly, power steering, and more (See us for details, exclusions, and conditions.) Extended service plans are available on most vehicles, giving you added peace of mind.
Q: Can I obtain a carfax report on my new vehicle?
A: We give you a CarFax report with your vehicle purchase at no additional charge. Carfax is a detailed vehicle history report that shows the complete history of the vehicle from the in-service-date to the present. Our clean title guarantee ensures accurate mileage and states that none of our vehicles have a salvage or total loss history.
Q: What if I don't find exactly the car, truck, or SUV I want in your current inventory, can you find it for me?
A: Our inventory changes often, with truckloads of vehicles coming in weekly. If we don't have the exact vehicle your looking for, we'll make every effort to locate your vehicle through our vast inventory network. We are experts at finding the vehicle our customers are searching to buy, at a price that is second to none.
Q: I have some credit problems, can you still finance my new vehicle?
A: We have financing programs for all credit stages. We work with our multitude of lenders to find a program that is right for our customers.
Q: How much will I pay for items like tax and tags?
A: The exact amount you can expect to pay for tax, title and tags will vary depending upon the state you live in, the county where you register the vehicle, the vehicle's weight, whether you have a "trade-in" vehicle and the type of license plate you select.
Q: I live in South Carolina. If I buy a vehicle from Car City do I have to pay taxes in both North and South Carolina?
A: No, you only pay sales tax in your state of residency.
Q: Do you accept trade-in vehicles?
A: We gladly accept trade-ins!
